Gentle Somatic Yoga® Workshop at Yoga Center of Denver

Join Shigeko for a nourishing + healing Gentle Somatic Yoga® workshop to improve health, well-being, quality of life, and personal performance. Gentle Somatic Yoga® is an art of movement synthesized by integrative Therapist and Yoga Teacher James Knight, E-RYT, CHSE. This progressive method is the synergy of Hanna Somatic Education, Hatha yoga, Meditation, and Core Energetic as well as principles ascribed to quantum mechanics. This practice incorporates slow, mindful movements that amplify bodily awareness that allows you to self-correct. Your body will release and unwind persistent stiffness, pain, stress-based tension patterns or postural imbalance. You will notice a dramatic increase of flexibility through brain-to-muscle re-education and find more freedom within your body.

During the workshop, you will learn a series of Somatic Movement Flows® and Somatic Theory Topics including Sensory Motor Amnesia, the three neuromuscular reflexes to stress: Red, Green, and Trauma Reflex, Self-Pandiculation, and Tips/props. This workshop will benefit everyone including yoga teachers or movement specialists who want to learn something different and new!
