The Cycle of Life -

Today will be a full moon. There have been so many changes between the last full moon (or two moons ago) and this full moon. This particular phase of the moon cycle reminds me that life is not always full but it is full of phases.

My life before this COVID-19 pandemic seemed full and intense. It was full of clients, classes, appointments, chores, fun get-togethers, and more—like a full moon. Now it seems empty, slow or almost nothing happening—like a new moon or a crescent moon. I am realizing that sometimes we have it all and sometimes we don’t.

I am also realizing that no matter how much structure we create in our lives, there will always be things we cannot control like moon phases or this COVID situation. All we can do is to embrace, appreciate, and trust in each phase of life. And of course, practice always invites us to celebrate each phase of life.

Namaste,

Shigeko ❤️

  1. Thank you for sharing this ❤️ it can be really difficult to go in and out of phases – very unsettling. I’m trying to work on feeling grounded no matter what is happening around me.
